Patuxent Research Refuge/National Wildlife Visitor Center

Dedicated in 1939, the Patuxent Research Refuge is the only National Wildlife Refuge established to do research on wildlife. The Visitor Center showcases wildlife and habitat research nationwide. Trials and seasonal tram tours explore forest, wetland, and meadow habitats.
