February 2, 2007 Laurel Museum Reopens On Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 the Laurel Museum will reopen with its current exhibit, 'Stories from the Attic: 10 Years of Collecting." New information and objects will bring a new focus to the African American Life in Laurel section of the exhibit. 1 Hands-On History Day: Holiday Pastimes Come see how the winter holidays were celebrated in the early 1800s. Play games, learn a dance, make a tree ornament, and enjoy holiday refreshments. Kick off the winter season with our annual Winter's Eve Celebration. Candlelight and 18th century lanterns will illuminate the seasonally decorated historic buildings and pathways. Visitors are invited to enjoy a cup of tea, cookies, popcorn, and join in singing carols by the fire. The Museum Gift Shop will be open. Light rain or light snow showers. Admission $2. Members free.
